NOTIFICATION 
New Delhi, the 18th May, 2023 
 S.O. 2228(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub -section (2) of section 1 of the Competition 
(Amendment) Act, 2023 (9 of 2023), the Central Government hereby appoints the 18 th day of May, 2023 as the date 
on which the provisions of the following sections of the said Act shall come into force, namely:-  
 
Serial Number Sections 
(1) Sections 1 to 5 (both inclusive); 
(2) Sections 9 to 11 (both inclusive); 
(3) Sections 13 to 18 (both inclusive); 
(4) Section 19 (except clause f ); 
(5) Sections 25 to 27 (both inclusive); 
(6) Section 29; 
(7) Sections 31 to 32 (both inclusive); 
(8) Sections 36 and 37; 
(9) Section 39; 
(10) Sections 41 to 44 (both inclusive); 
(11) Section 45 (except 64B).
